Larry Huge Hurricane. 91L Models Take it Across Florida... Keeping it Weak... Because Larry SOOO Huge!
Which way would 91L go if it forms.
That's an if... that away ... to the right!
Two things to say about this system. The first one is to remember that currently it is forecast to be a very weak system. Secondly, the models are coming in line with what made the most sense based on the time of year and the steering currents so it would be logical for the track to the NE across Florida into the Atlantic will be verify. That said, I will be offline for two days for the Jewish High Holidays for the New Year on our calendar, so much can happen over the next two days to change this scenario. Most of all it has not yet developed, therefore there is no real closed low there yet.
Note Big Larry out there in the Atlantic hogging up all the energy and it would be very hard to even imagine any other system becoming strong while it's doing it's thing. There are always exceptions but for now Larry is the big show and hopefully staying out at sea. Note the image below that really shows this well.
Amazing and wonderful it's not hurting anyone.
I'll be offline til late Wednesday, so check back then for my thoughts or any thoughts I see worth mentioning and have a good year, a wonderful week and stay healthy, happy and hurricane free. Well, if you are a chaser I hope you find a hurricane with a great eye to chase somewhere that no one else is living!
