Monday Morning. Barbara Intensifying. Convection Coming Alive in the Gulf of Mexico. Atlantic Quiet. New Wave Over Africa

Officially Barbara in the Epac is the only game in town.
Atlantic Quiet for the next 5 Days as per NHC.

A quick look at the loops shows us lot's of convection in the GOM.
It's not forecast to develop.
Shear is forecast to weaken.
It's good to keep an eye on it if you live in those parts or....
...are traveling there for our July 4th Holiday.
It's probable it will up the ante for rain and storms.
Always keep an eye to the horizon and pay attention.
Thunderstorms along Gulf Coast beaches can develop fast.
As for developing beyond that....
...watching it and wondering.

Everything is related.
You can click on the Earthnull image above.
Moisture on the West side of the convection...
...goes due North up towards the coast.
On the NE side weather shunts off towards Tampa.

It's a fun site to play with....
...has lots of layers and information beyond the main stream.

To be fair Tampa always gets thunderstorms.
Florida gets thunderstorms.
Beaches along the GOM get pop up thunderstorms.
You don't need a named storm to create havoc.
So enjoy the beach but watch the skies.
As for development... it's not expected.
Just something to watch for now.

And rolling off of Africa.
Another nice wave sacrificed to SAL

Again note that new waves come off higher.
They look out at the Atlantic and see the SAL.
And life goes on.

Nice sunsets.
SAL peaks.

The baton gets tossed to the waves.
Don't get distracted by daily water temperatures.
Don't get distracted by shear there now.

Tropics come to life as per Climo.
A little earlier.
A little later.

Don't get lost in the daily details.

Wave after wave after wave.....
All the energy flows.

At some point it will close off somewhere.
The way Barbara did in the EPAC.

Wait your turn.
Have a great weekend.
Whichever weekend or week you take off.

Keep an eye towards the sky for July 4th.
For thunderstorms and fireworks.

Besos BobbiStorm.

Ps... as long as those waves stay low under the dust.
Trouble waits down the tropical road.
Which river city will get a hurricane this year?
Wilmington?
Savannah?
Mobile?
New Orleans?
Houston?
Tampa?
Miami?

All got rivers ;)
