Hurricane Katrina heading on shore towards Broward/Dade Line
Will be officially Broward if they don't change 26.2.. sort of 26.2 or bust.
Strongest winds in small red area to the south of the eye wall about due east of me.
Watching Norcross.. love this.. really enjoying it a lot.
Taking turbines off the roof. Wasn't going to but decided to.. may as well seeing as it is due east of me.. not the big cloudless area that is going to hit FLL that isn't officially an eye..
Word games.. mind games... hurricane games.
Making dinner...enjoying it all. Son is home from his job at the Mall. They shut down the bus that goes to our house so he had to walk from the bus down at the end of the canal. He was soaked and had my new weather radio on him .. I had been looking all over for that. Figures.
Son just came down from the roof. Was up there during a strong band. Weather here getting crazy.
One strong band just hit and everyone ran outside to pick up things from the yard. Miami ... a city full of party hardy prograstinators.
Norcross showing radar... Broward stopped having rain and we are getting slammed.
We are getting what would be the eye wall.. if there was an official eye.
Wind feels great by the way..just out there. Whistling sounds..my face damp.
Redsox Tee Shirt getting wet. Going to take it off and put on my HurricaneCity tee shirt.

Bobbi.. and Hurricane Katrina
********************
The man is so fun to watch it's worth having a hurricane to watch him talk in this mode.
Shows the area that is big and open and round and very carefully insists that is NOT the "eye" because officially it's not an eye. So, he coins the term .. the "area that's not the eye.. let's call it the big cloudless area without any rain in it" lol
Then says that if.. IF ..the center they are tracking is the small center on the bottom of the "big cloudless area without any rain in it" then the *center* is moving south of north and shows a long loop with the circled center to the south of where it started out.. sort of just south of due west.
Then.. he says he really wants to ask the NHC about this..
then.........he notes the strongest winds out there are in the red dots on the southside of the *center* and notes that IF that IS the center they are tracking.. its below 26.2.. moving into the area from Dania Beach south to Aventura... to North Miami.
Max comes on... confirms that oh my gosh the recon that they finally got back up found hurricane force winds in THAT dot. Max says something along the line of "uh yeah" with a bit of a country southern accent.
So..Brian points out (after Max is off) that Miami seems to be getting the strongest winds and the strongest rains. Max agreed earlier, hmmm strange.. usually the stronger rain is on the north part but
lol another great day in the neighborhood
love it
so funny
oh and it never stalled btw.. so that big area without any rain in it is headed towards Ft. Lauderdale.. now..sooner rather than later (quote) and I'm watching it blow
See you later.. going to give computer back to weather wiz kid who is having fun with loops.
Sometime I should put on TWC and see what they are saying but...too much fun enjoying Norcross.
I'm by the way... about 3 miles or less due east of Sunny Isles Pier.
Bobbi
