Mid May Soon... Tropics Slowly Changing... Moving Into Place. Are You Preparing for Hurricane Season?

Can you find where tropics are active?
Not in ATL signal very flat.
But...strong ITCZ
Orange red line from Africa to SA

When you click on the link below you can see the warm, moisture laden air oozing up into the Mississippi River Valley and the Southeast. You can see South Floida getting more and more muggy, hot and humid as the waters around the Florida peninsula are only getting hotter. And another front moving towards the Pacific Northwest. Nothing happens immediately with climate, weather happens fast like a summertime afternoon studden rainstorm but hurricane season gets set up into place as the waters warm up, as the tropical waves climb higher in latitude and the upper level winds rearange from Winter and Spring to Summer. We aren't there yet.

Now is the time you need to do hurricane prepaation ... make plans, buy supplies or stock them... you may aleady have them in your pantry if so take them out, put them away in case of a tropical threat.  Canned foods, snacks no one needs now... medical first aid supplies.

That's it for today. I'm packing.... fast surprise trip to Miami for Mother's Day Weekend! I was surprised !!!
