Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables Offers Luxury Hurricane Accomodations..........

This came from a local News Magazine called MIAMI. You know.. glitzy cover, all the best shops to shop.

Maybe a bit out of taste with Katrina closing down Nola but well..shows you how the rich and famous live when it comes to Hurricane Preparedness. Bet, they aren't advertising it heavy right now.. hope they are donating to the Red Cross or someone.. big time.

Beautiful place tho..

Shelter From The Storm
Ride Out the Hurricane In Style

According to Carlos Garcia, program administrator for the Biltmore Hotel's priority access program, more than 40 area residents have gone well beyond stocking up on canned goods, candles, bottled water and flashlights in preparation for any impending hurricanes this season.

For a subscription fee that starts at $35 per wee (with a 16 week commitment) these folks, and other members of the Biltmore's priority access program, will have first crack at rooms available during a hurricane threat. The 80-year old facility has weathered dozens of storms, including the devastating hurricane of 1926. A minimum two-night booking is required and there is a 48-hour advancecancellation policy. Standard hotel rates apply. Still, how fun would it beto spend two stormy nights holded up in the Everglades Suite at $1,499 pernight? The program runs through October.
