War of the World ...& ... War of the Hurricane Trackers

Went to see War of the World yesterday. Excellent. Really. One or two scenes I might have shortened, maybe but only and otherwise excellent view of the way we react to terror and something beyond our control through the eyes of both a parent and a child. A near masterpiece. Any reviews that say otherwise are shallow, jealous writers who only wish they could pursue their dreams and translate their own personal nightmares onto the large screen that Steven has so well in his lifetime. Jealous, small minded people. Because that is one kick ass movie, especially a holiday movie to be seen together with your kids.

Cause deep down that is what we all are.. its us and our kids against the world's problems that sometimes seem overwhelming and trying to hold on together and keep those we love safe.

Kick ass movie.

Leah, his mommy, should be happy. Really. Well, she always is but knowing things I know it's like watching a small angry child (ie teenage son) come full circle in life and grow up. Not just become a great director but more so... full circle, grown up and he really "gets it" Nice to know someone out there in life really "gets it"

I'll be back. Going to go make French Toast for my son and eggs. He is getting it :)

Had a really nice surprise yesterday. Someone came home early and surprised me. 4th of July :) Fireworks were great. Lots of fireworks. Offline. Online... on storm trackers tracking tropical depressions, models, waves and very explosive convection. Slept like a rock with vague images from the movie.. and life.

Here's a loop for me to keep here today and shows a picture. War of the tropical centers of Tropical Depression 3. Which center wins? War of the waves out in the Atlantic. Great view of the world from up there in outer space as the images loop on the water vapor loop.

Sit a spell.. relax... watch the world go by. See which way the wind blows.
