2 Yellow Areas. Invest 91L Impossible?? For a Plain Yellow Pumpkin To Become Fred? Nothing is Impossible ... Definitely Improbable!

 Invest 91L

I'm just gonna leave that here.
NHC added another yellow circle.
Invest 91L is now being tracked.
Why?

Current models.
Again there are 2 areas within the one circle being watched.
NHC will probably add another circle soon.
Who knows really?

I refuse to go on a long rant against the NHC that these days seem to have no rules of procedure (unlike all the years before) and so they have now thrown a second yellow area into what is basically one large area of messy weather with multiple centers.  The "iconic" but aged track map that looks like something designed by Wilma not Fred in Bedrock really needs updating. Models show an area forming fast near Africa yet whether it can maintain itself is questionable. Models also show one climbing fast in latitude but just when you think it is a Fish storm the models curve it back West towards the Islands.

The blue dot above is Invest 91L that the NHC iniated today and began running models on even though they give it the most minimal chances to develop. Maybe they were bored? Either way we are now officially tracking Invest 91L. The fact that it's close to Senegal is important in that tropical waves are usually ignored until they come off that far North and often travel WNW and then dip a bit back to WSW or West if they survive.

Another area worth watching is over SC and NC.
A low formed today and often they can ramp up over water.
Often purple splotches come before yellow circles.

Those colored areas are the places to watch.

As for 91L it's always worth watching waves...
...often they get further West than we think.
It's not impossible though I heard that song in my head.
"Impossible things are happening every day"

Never say "impossible" !!

Stay tuned. Personally I'd worry on Invest 92L it seems that number often presents problems. IF 91L doesn't make it ... it will make the environment for the next strong wave candidate to emerge that much healthier and supportive.

Time will tell............but it's August and we are in that time of year when the real hurricanes will soon be knocking on the door.

While I don't think it is impossible ...that's the song that came to mind so going with it. Great soundtrack with many versions but this is one of the best. Where's Fred??

Yes the real question is where is FRED hiding??
