Epac region in the Eastern Pacific to be clear.

The area in the Epac is having problems pulling itself together but it's not giving up so fast. Invest 90E may squeeze out a name yet. This is typical for an early system that attains the distinction of Invest however balks at actually consolidating.  Of course, this happens in the Atlantic as much as it does in the Pacific. It's early and there is potential that may or may not get realized. Watch the water vapor loop below to see how rapid the atmosphere is racing about making tropical development harder. 

It races NE, then dips down again rapidly.

Not a set up conducive to development.

That may improve in a few days.

You can see where both systems are trying to form.

Perhaps if one area was there it would have better chances.

I'm not going to go heavy into discussion on EPAC systems other than to show it's a slow process moving towards the beginning of the Atlantic Hurricane Season. If you live in an area prone to effects from a hurricane there are most likely local events that cover the dangers inherent to your areas. Some places along the coast worry on flooding, high winds and the obvious storm surge. Inland concern is often flooding and trees falling if the ground has already been saturated or simply pines crashing through someone's home from high winds. The topography of your area may be unique and be prone to flash flooding and if you are new to the area that may catch you by surprise. If you see local car dealerships suddenly moving cars to high ground... you may have a problem. Find out now... be strong and prepared.
