Just Back from Key West..

Had the most wonderful time. Took my 10 year old with me for his birthday trip (turning 11 this week) and he had a great time.

Stayed at http://southernmostpoint.com/ which is the most beautiful place to stay in all of Key West. Across the street from the ocean, the southernmost house and down the block from the world famous bouy..directly on Duval Street, next to the butterfly place (you can see inside the butterfly place from the pool at the bed and breakfast) and ... it is run by the most amazing lady named Mona. Nicest breakfast buffet I have seen any place have, most special touches... she has rabbits in the backyard, cats... the place is a refuge for everyone, catering especially to newlywed of all ages and family friendly. She even allows pets to stay.. so I was told, especially if they aren't the size of a St. Bernard :)

Had the room with a view of the water and a swing on the balcony and we had a blast. She gave me a special present and I am eternally grateful...for the great deal. Her rooms are more reasonable than most B&Bs that have much smaller rooms with less to offer and they don't have Mona.

More later.. going to bed.

Now that I am back.. that wave in the Carib can convect.

Yes..saw sunset, saw sunrise and had brunch at THE DELI on the corner of Simonton and Truman... though my son enjoyed the cereal and milk and fruit at Monas.

More later.. oh and they had the Monroe Library Used Book Sale.. and got 2 copies of Anais Nin's diaries from different years and a 1971 volume of Fitzgerald/Hemingway Anthology Misc stuff.. unreal. Son got books too.

au revoir
Bobbi
