Hyped Up Discussion on a Warm Holiday Down the Road. Will See. Link to Video of iCyclone's "Hurricane Melissa at Ground Zero"
While weather people online argue whether this will be a TORCHMAS Heat Wave or simply "warmer temperatures" I thought I'd post the link to the video put out by Josh Morgerman aka @iCyclone of his "encounter" with Melissa. Not sure what word to even use to describe his work as he is a master of words, images, videos and knowledge regarding the most dangerous hurricanes in modern times. This video has been much anticipated and I've waited patiently as I know everything he does is with the most precise attention to detail including picking out his location to ride out the hurricane, the structure he will ride it out in and the video he produces. The link is below in the blog.
As for current weather talk....
....yeah I'll give my thoughts tomorrow.
I'm sure you've seen these posts online.
It's holiday time, we all want a picture perfect white winter wonderland no matter what holiday we are celebrating. Few pray for weather that allows us to wear flip flops and shorts unless we are hard core Floridians who freeze if the temperature gets below 50 degrees. As for me in North Carolina I like the cold weather that flows in normally this time of year. Though I will admit I was freezing beyond words Sunday evening when we had a large outdoor Chanukah celebration in the beautiful Lafayette Village near my home. There was a large menorah in the square and a huge Christmas Tree lot nearby and people enjoying hot coffee Starbucks Coffee that flowed at the event fast as it kept our hands warm! Actually the Rabbi gave our little "hand warmers" to anyone who wanted... almost everyone wanted! Seriously if you want a Norman Rockwell sort of place to live yet filled with diversity and everyone is friendly and people literally wave as they walk by even though they never met you...... Raleigh is that sort of town. A bit slow for people who have lived in NYC so beware and maybe rent before you buy ;) or move on down to Florida.
